The New Culture Movement made more Chinese know the ideology from Western countries. In a sense, it freed Chinese's mind and built a foundation for the later movements and reformations. Like, May Fourth Movement.

The spreading area was limited since only people who owned knowledge can connect with New Youth.
No real physcial action was happened, so the function was on the papers.

The Scholars reformed Chinese literature and culture, and it still influences current generation.
They totally objected Chinese traditional culture which somewhat influenced it negatively. Scholars might forget about China's own situation.
